Details of Clonards participation in the Irish Community Games.
News Letter
27th February 2006
Here we go again! Another year of action is about to begin, and believe it or not we are starting our 5th season. This Newsletter is just to give you all an idea of what we are planning for the coming year.
Finance
Unfortunately nothing happens if we don’t have some money in the kitty; however we do have our affiliation and insurances paid to Meath Community Games so that is a good start. Our fund raisers for this year will be our 3 x 25’s card game night which has been a most enjoyable & successful fundraiser and Una Fleming has very bravely offered her services to do a parachute jump to raise funds. We will give you more details on these when dates etc. have been confirmed.

This is a new event in the Community Games, so if there are any hidden talents out there we would love to hear from you and we will do our best to find out more about this event for you.
As you can see we are trying our best to facilitate as many interests as we can.
Please note: - Only children from the Clonard area can take part in Clonard Community Games, we realise that there are some children in the school who are not from the area, unfortunately there is nothing we can do, except advice them to contact their own local Community Games. The National Community Games are very strict on this and we must adhere to the rules set out by them.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to say farewell to Marie Boyd our Secretary who resigned at our AGM on the 20th October and thank her for all her hard work over the last four years, Marie will still help us out when needed. We would also like to welcome Mary Hickey on to the committee as our new secretary, her work has already begun attending County meeting etc. we are very grateful to all those who attended our AGM, as they have all offered us great support for the coming year, and as a result we can venture into new events. (Many hands make light work!)
If any one out there has any queries, suggestions or ideas we would be delighted to hear from you.
Yours sincerely,
Chairperson: Laura O’Donoghue (044) 75632
Secretary: Mary Hickey (044) 75530
Treasurer: Una Fleming (044) 75087
