I travel from Navan to Athlone everyday, and I feel like I’m doing something wrong trying to stick to the speed limit through Clonard, especially with Bus Eireann buses trying to drive over me, when will this madness stop...............First of all John you're on the wrong road coming from navan you go the N51 to Delvin and on through the Mullingar bypass to Tyrrellspass on on to Athlone it's way quicker..You have a better chance of being squashed by a truck on the Trim Longwood road.

I've been trying to trace my family history from St. Paul Minnesota USA back to Clonard. My g-g-g-grandmother is said to have been from Clonard, and buried there. She is Esther Carroll (nee Copperthwaite). Any ideas where I could start my search for her?

My great grandparents were from Clonard and immigrated to the USA in the 1800's. I am trying to locate any Campbell family who may live in Clonard. My greatgrandmother was, Maria Campbell. Her father was Neal Campbell and her mother was Mary McVaty.

For info.

I had previously contacted Joe under my own name (not as clonard.org) but its nice to see that the regional co-ordinators for the Group Broadband Schemes are keeping an eye out for relevant community websites.

[...] Sicilian Notes is asking what new ideas are there to prevent deaths. I’d argue we din’t need new ideas, we need enforcement. Currently trucks and artics are whizzing through clonard village in blatant disregard of speed limits. As I argued here, this alone negates the increased safety to pedestrians through reduced traffic after the M4 opening. [...]
