CL1: To provide for civic open space and interpretative
signage at the centre of the village.
CL2: To provide for a bus shelter in conjunction with Bus
Eireann in a recessed layby in the vicinity of Gibneys public house.
CL3: To provide for landscaping and amenity improvements
to the front of the Local Authority Housing Estate.
CL4: To provide a new footpath, surface water drainage
and lighting on the west side of the Ballinabrackey Road as far as the
development boundary in conjunction with the development of adjoining low
density residential lands.
CL5: To provide for car parking provision at the playing
pitch.
CL6: To protect and designate the archaeological zone
from unsympathetic development and to maintain a visual distinction between the
village and the ecclesiastical centre and moat.
CL7: To secure the use of the former Protestant Church as
a potential visitor and community centre.
CL8: To facilitate the provision of a site and building
for multi-purpose community uses in the centre of Clonard in association with
the development of adjoining lands to the east and west as indicated on Urban
Detail Map 6.
CL9: To encourage the provision of a new urban
distributor road between Gibneys public house and Carrigdun Estate providing for
the development of a new streetscape to the south of this road and mixed
commercial and residential uses.
CL10: To encourage the provision of both social and
affordable housing and private site type development on local authority owned
lands and in association with the development of Carrigdun estate through which
access and water services connections would be provided.
CL11: To encourage the development of low density
individual type housing and private site type development on the N4 and on the
Ballinabrackey Road.
CL12: To encourage the development of a linear park along
the river for amenity purposes and to provide adequate pedestrian linkage into
residential areas.
CL13: To encourage the provision of a central open space
and play area between the school site and the adjoining residential lands to the
north providing for pedestrian linkages between both these areas.
